ReZoom ™ IOL
WHAT ARE LENS IMPLANTS (INTRAOCULAR LENSES)?
Intraocular lenses (IOLs) are micro lenses that are placed inside your eye to correct cataracts, nearsightedness, farsightedness or presbyopia. There are two types of IOLs: anterior chamber lenses, which are placed in the anterior chamber of the eye between the iris and the cornea, and posterior chamber lenses, which are placed in the posterior chamber behind the iris and rest against the capsular bag.
IOLs may be used for the correction of nearsightedness, farsightedness, presbyopia, cataracts and astigmatism. One of the newest options available to patients is the ReZoom ™ Intraocular Lens (IOL).

ReZoom™ intraocular lens is a second-generation refractive multifocal IOL that provides hyperopic cataract patients with greater independence from glasses than monofocal IOLs. The ReZoom™ proprietary multifocal design provides a range of vision that monfocals cannot match.
The ReZoom™ Balanced View Optics™ technology distributes light over five optic zones so that each lens has a distance-dominant central zone for distance vision in bright light conditions when the pupil is constricted.
The ReZoom™ IOL is indicated for the visual correction of aphakia in adult patients in whom a cataractous lens has been removed and who may benefit from useful near vision without reading glasses and increased spectacle independence across a range of distances. It is intended to be placed in the capsular bag.
How ReZoom ™ works
The ReZoom™ lens offers cataract patients greater independence from glasses following surgery. Now cataract patients can experience a full range of distance, intermediate and near vision after surgery.
The ReZoom™ IOL is a new design and next generation acrylic three-piece multifocal IOL. The ReZoom™ IOL Balanced View Optics™ technology distributes light over five optical zones for enhanced restoration of visual function, providing distance, intermediate and near vision for reduced spectacle dependence. This allows the performance characteristics of the lens to match the lifestyle demands of the patient. In a clinical study 92 percent of ReZoom™ IOL patients reported never or only occasionally having to wear glasses.

The ReZoom™ intraocular lens provides cataract patients with a new alternative to monofocal IOLs. The ReZoom™ IOL gives patients a balanced view of life by creating a full range of vision, hence improving patients’ quality of life. Dr. Steven Siepser is one of the first U.S. refractive surgeons to implant the ReZoom™ lens. With Dr. Siepser's skill and expertise in vision correction, patients can be confident of an excellent outcome.
Dr Siepser will evaluate your needs and consider your lifestyle to help you determine the best vision correction solution for you.
